News

March 2015

Hello, and thank you for reading our blog.

Lots to report since the last blog. Everything has become a lot easier for us since we made the decision to move to Coldrenick Farm, near Helland. We are now in a lovely converted farm building with loads more space, and have our workshop and office on the same premises. We are surrounded by fields and sheep, and our landlady (who is a sheep farmer) is appropriately named Mrs Mutton.

We have also gained some great new people to join our team. Sharon, Jenny and Dawn have been a welcome addition!

This year, and last, we have exhibited at The Spring Fair Trade Show in Birmingham where we have met up with some interesting people who have provided us with new opportunities to sell our products. Baby Blooms are a great family company who sell fantastic gifts for mums and babies, and now have a skincare range which we have developed for them.

Many of our customers had said that they would like us to develop a facial scrub. With the help of our team, friends and volunteer customers (acting as guinea pigs), we have developed a face scrub which is now available. We are using Crushed Walnut Shells (as they are a by-product), Evening Primrose Oil and the citrus fragrances of Orange, Bergamot and Cyprus. The idea is to provide an exfoliating cleanser, that smells great and doesn't dry out your skin. Thank you to everyone that helped us by giving us feedback.

For a while, we have been wanting to offer a wider range of Gift Packs. We spent the later part of 2014 working on this, & are now pleased to be offering a selection of 10!

We appreciate your custom and always welcome feedback

News from the B Skincare team

Hello and thank you for looking at our blog. At B Skincare we have been fully occupied so far this year! We went up to London for the Spring Country Living Show in March, which was great to meet in person some of our customers and also to meet new ones.

B Skincare workshop

Busy in the workshop

Down in the workshop we have had several new projects that have involved developing new creams. This is always a really fun part of my job as it involves researching and experimenting with new ingredients. As a result we have come up with a brand new range for Jill Stein at her shop in Padstow. We have also extended our range at the Eden Project with 2 new hand creams and 3 new lip salves.

Our friends at the Lost Gardens of Heligan paid us a visit in the workshop to see the cream being made and also to collect their 100th order! Future projects for us include working on a new cream for the shop at Trebah Gardens, using their camellias. We are also working with a company from Scotland called Nutscene who will be attending the Chelsea Flower Show.

Chris and Ester have been kept busy in the office with phone and internet orders increasing. Also the shops have been ordering for Easter as more visitors come down to Cornwall. All we need now is a bit more sunshine and warmth!
